  1. I haven’t made a deck list yet, but I had one idea for Rex Raptor’s deck.

It’d revolve around quickly summoning Ultimate Tyranno with cards like Gilasaurus, Hunting Instinct, Ultra Evolution Pill, and Big Evolution Pill, then using cards like Final Attack Orders, Light of Intervention, Fairy Meteor Crush or Meteorain, and Survival of the Fittest to ensure Ultimate Tyranno can run any monster over (it will have 4000 ATK if equipped with Survival of the Fittest) and inflict damage no matter what. The Ultimate Tyranno OTK.

Light of Intervention makes sure all monsters are face up to be changed to Attack Position by Final Attack Orders. Fairy Meteor Crush and Meteorain are in case you can’t draw both Final Attack Orders and Light of Intervention so Ultimate Tyranno can inflict piercing damage.

I can make a deck list if you’re interested.

  2. I’ve tried with the same cards.

Isn’t hard make his decks since that he didn’t play several duels. I’ve the idea that he can have two decks:

    1) Something like with Dragon-Dinosaur (tyrant dragon, Serpente NIght Dragon, nomal dinosaur monsters, fusion dinosaur monsters)

    2) More focused in tyrant dragon and ultimate Tyranno to do something like “beatdown”.

    What your idea?

  3. Those sound like good ideas.

This was what I came up with for an Ultimate Tyranno OTK deck:
    Monster Cards: 15
    Venom Cobra x2
    Ultimate Tyranno x3
    Jurrac Spinos
    Hydrogeddon x3
    Balloon Lizzard x3
    Gilasaurus x3

    Spell Cards: 16
    Ultra Evolution Pill x3
    Big Evolution Pill x2
    Fairy Meteor Crush x2
    Fossil Dig x2
    Pot of Greed
    Graceful Charity
    Card of Sanctity (Anime)
    Foolish Burial
    Monster Reborn
    Premature Burial
    Jurassic World

    Trap Cards: 9
    Hunting Instinct x3
    Survival of the Fittest x2
    Final Attack Orders x2
    Light of Intervention

Hydrogeddon, Gilasaurus, Venom Cobra, and Balloon Lizard are there to make summoning Ultimate Tyranno easier. Gilasaurus because you can Special Summon it from your hand, giving at least 2 or 3 tributes right away if you have more than one in hand.

Venom Cobra and Balloon Lizard are there as Ultra Evolution Pill targets (Tribute a reptile, special summon a dinosaur). Hydrogeddon because when it destroys a monster in battle, you can Special Summon another Hydrogeddon from your deck. Like Gilasaurus, it helps swarm the field with monsters to tribute for Ultimate Tyranno or Jurrac Spinos.

As for Foolish Burial, that’s to get Ultimate Tyranno in the Graveyard to summon it with Monster Reborn or Premature Burial. Fossil Dig is to search Gilasaurus.

    Now for traps:
Hunting Instinct is to Special Summon Ultimate Tyranno or Jurrac Spinos from your hand when your opponent Special Summons a monster. Survival of the Fittest and Metalmorph are to power up either of your boss monsters (Ultimate Tyranno and Jurrac). Metalmorph will help them get over monsters with more than 4000 ATK (after Survival of the Fittest is used) if you need to.

Final Attack Orders and Light of Intervention are self explanatory. Keep monsters in face-up Attack Position to OTK with Ultimate Tyranno. That’s where Jurrac Spinos comes in: when it destroys a monster in battle, a token with 300 ATK/0 DEF is summoned to your opponent’s field in attack position.

  4. After looking over it, remove Jurassic World and make it 3 copies of Fossil Dig so you can search Gilasaurus more often. Jurassic World wouldn’t make a huge difference in powering monsters up compared to how useful Fossil Dig can be in helping this deck’s goal.

  5. And I left out Tyrant Dragon. Ignore the previous deck list and go by this one instead.

  6. I made decks based on each of the characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s decks (Yusei, Jack, Luna, Leo, Crow, Kalin, and Akiza so far), if you want to see them to have a base for them. So far they’re all pretty competitive (i.e. summoning Black Rose Dragon and Black Rose Moonlight Dragon in the same turn; first turn Red Nova Dragon or Shooting Quasar Dragon, etc. all without Soul Charge) if you want to see what I came up with and to potentially make changes to them.

  7. I will love build characters decks from 5D’s, since that serie is my favorite of all time. 😀

In the last weeks I was really stopped in this blog and in characters decks. For now i will publish some cards and review some characters decks like kaiba. I’ve make some changes in this week. I’ve put some more generic cards.

Maybe tomorrow or sunday I will publish de profile of some 5D’s characters.

  8. Here’s where I have each of my decks based on 5D’s characters listed. So far it’s Akiza, Luna, Leo, Jack, Yusei, Crow, and Kalin that I’ve made decks for.

Not all of them include cards that the characters have used but support their deck well, such as these three examples:
    1. “Saffira, Queen of Dragons” in my Luna deck since Luna used mostly LIGHT monsters.
    2. “The Dark Door” in my Yusei deck to be used along side “Scrap-Iron Scarecrow” so his opponent’s attacks will never succeed.
    3. “Blazing Mirror Force” in my Akiza deck since she focused on burn damage with her trap line up a lot of the

  9. Testing with your suggestions, i’ve decide, since that Rex Raptor uses monsters with high attack, create an deck focused in effect damage (mainly battle damage – even if the opponent monster is in DEF position).

In a week I will publish the first deck.

  10. That sounds about right. Swarming the field with Special Summoned monsters (namely Gilasaurus of course) to immediately summon his best monster, Ultimate Tyranno, and inflict piercing battle damage by equipping it with Big Bang Shot or Fairy Meteor Crush.

And speaking of that, since Big Bang Shot will remove the equipped monster from play if it leaves the field, maybe a Spell Card like “D.D.R. – Different Dimension Reincarnation” should be included in the deck as a way to get around that downside?

  11. It’s interesting how quickly the boss monsters are summoned with cards like Hunting Instinct, Ultra Evolution Pill and Big Evolution Pill. I enjoy those combos from you deck suggestions.

I’m also consider cards like Sauropod Brachios, Super-Ancient Dinobeast and Black Bracchios. Is needed just one dino to summon Sauro and Super. Also Sauro and Black Bracchios can help to turning opponent’s monsters in DEF position. (I don’t see space for Jurrac Spinos)

Good idea about Big Bang Shot but I don’t find space to D.D.R.. I’m thinking in add just one copy.

For the Extra Deck, I’m including grenosaurus (damage by effect) and Horned Saurus (direct attack when Special Summoned).

  12. 1x Sabersaurus
    2x Ultimate Tyranno
    1x Super-Ancient Dinobeast
    2x Sauropod Brachion
    2x Black Tyranno
    1x Dark Driceratops
    3x Black Brachios
    3x Ballon Lizard
    3x Gilasaurus

    1x Harpie’s Feather Duster
    3x Ultra Evolution Pill
    2x Fossil Dig
    1x Pot of Greed
    1x Monster Reborn
    2x Big Evolution Pill
    1x Twin Twister
    2x Big Bang Shot
    1x Premature Burial

    3x Hunting Instinct
    1x Bottomless TH
    1x Survival of the Fittest
    1x Fossil Excavation
    1x Call of the Haunted
    1x Solemn Warning

There’s no Extra Deck since that Kaitopera isn’t a strong monster and Polymerization occupying space and sommuning Horned Saurus isn’t decisive. The same goes to Grenosaurus, in the deck there are only 3 level 3 monsters.

Rex will have extra deck in his second deck. One of his icon card, Two-Headed King Rex is fusion material for two monster, Trakodon is level 3 and fusion material.

  13. Leo deck is interesting because of Equip Spells combos. 😀 😀 😀

In this blog he will have two decks.

One for Life Stream Dragon, Power Tool Dragon, Power Tool Mecha, etc. Also maybe Tzolkin.

Another for Gadget and Morphtronic with Power Tool and Tool Mecha.

But comment here the deck list.

  14. I never thought about trying to include Ultimaya Tzolkin in a Leo Deck. The primary reason is there aren’t any level 6 Morphtronic Monsters, tuner and non-tuner (correct me if I’m wrong).

I also never thought about including the Gadgets and Ties of the Brethren. That’s a great idea.

  15. Looks really good (I’m gonna test it right now), but I’ve got a suggestion for an alternative to Solemn Warning that may actually work even better: Ultimate Providence, which does this:
“When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated: Discard the same type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.”

  16. And this is the deck list for my Leo deck.
    [Main Deck – 40]
    Monster Cards [18]
    Effect Monsters (12)
    Morphtronic Boarden x2
    Morphtronic Staplen x2
    Morphtronic Slingen
    Morphtronic Boomboxen
    Witch of the Black Forest
    Morphtronic Videon
    Morphtronic Radion
    Morphtronic Magnen
    Morphtronic Celfon

    Tuner monsters (6)
    Morphtronic Scopen x3
    Morphtronic Smartfon x2
    Morphtronic Remoten

    Spell Cards (15)
    Limiter Removal
    Graceful Charity
    Monster Reborn
    Pot of Greed
    Twin Twisters
    Magical Mallet
    Premature Burial
    United We Stand
    Double Tool C&D
    Factory of 100 Machines
    Mage Power
    Moon Mirror Shield
    Power Pickaxe
    Morphtronic Map
    Junk Box

    Traps (7)
    Zero Gravity
    Gravity Bind
    Call of the Haunted
    Negate Attack
    Collected Power
    Morphtronic Monitron

    [Extra Deck – 3]
    Synchro Monsters (2)
    Power Tool Dragon
    Power Tool Mecha Dragon

    Tuner Synchro Monsters (1)
    Life Stream Dragon

Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan are out of place, I know, but I couldn’t think of any other monsters for the main deck that can be used to search for Morphtronic Scopen, which is almost necessary for easily summoning Power Tool Dragon (it’s level 3, and can Special Summon a level 4 Morphtronic from your hand, allowing for an immediate level 7 Synchro Summon). I looked through YGOPro, and there aren’t any monsters/spells/traps with this effect: “Add 1 Morphtronic monster from your deck to your hand.”

  17. Now here was a real surprise. I made a few changes to my Jack Atlas deck, then just tested it. This was the result:

To Synchro Summon these, I first Synchro Summoned Red Dragon Archfiend and Exploder Dragonwing. (And made use of Monster Reborn + my opponent’s The Shallow Grave, but this is still pretty good since its a character deck.)

  18. And this is my latest test of my Yusei deck. I also Synchro Summoned Road Warrior, Stardust Dragon, Stardust Spark Dragon, Junk Warrior, Junk Gardna, Stardust Charge Warrior, Shooting Star Dragon, Formula Synchron (twice), and Phonon Pulse Dragon to reach this point.

Not bad for a character, deck, huh?

  19. Maybe we can add some generic “Genex” monsters, also we could considerer Genex Ally Axel. It can help to Tzolkin.

    What do you think?

  20. I like your suggestion about Ultimate Providence. Also what about Endless Trap Hole.

  21. Not sure; the only Genex monster I know the name/effects of is Genex Ally Birdman, and that’s because I bought the Yusei Fudo/Synchro Extreme Structure Deck last year.

  22. I never thought about Endless Trap Hole since it would get around monsters that can’t be targeted or destroyed by card effects all the time or under certain circumstances (Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, Power Tool Dragon, and Life Stream Stream are notable examples).

Maybe 1 of Bottomless Trap Hole and 1 of Endless Trap Hole?

  23. This is unrelated to Rex, but after testing my improved Bonz deck with the pictured results, I thought I should post my deck list for my Bonz deck just to give you some ideas.
    [Main Deck – 40]
    Monster Cards [18]
    Effect Monsters (14)
    Pyrotech Mech – Shiryu
    Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon
    Malevolent Mech – Goku En

    Tristan, Knight of the Underworld
    Isolde, Belle of the Underworld
    Immortal Ruler x2
    Zombie Master x2
    Pyramid Turtle x2
    Wandering Mummy
    Poison Mummy

    Gemini monsters (1)

    Tuner monsters (3)
    Plaguespreader Zombie x3

    Spell Cards [19]
    Call of the Haunted x3
    Zombie World
    Violet Crystal
    Vampire Kingdom
    Premature Burial
    Pot of Greed
    Monster Reborn
    Graceful Charity
    Card of Sanctity
    Pyramid of Wonders
    Overpowering Eye
    Call of the Mummy
    Twin Twisters
    Book of Life
    Book of Taiyou
    Book of Eclipse
    Book of Moon

    Trap Cards [3]
    Robbin’ Zombie
    Hard-Sellin’ Zombie
    Trap of the Imperial Tomb

    [Extra Deck – 7]
    Synchro Monsters (2)
    Revived King Ha Des
    Doomkaiser Dragon

    Xyz Monsters (4)
    Number 22: Zombiestein
    Crimson Knight Vampire Bram
    Number 48: Shadow Lich
    Pilgrim Reaper

I’ll explain a few things about this deck that made it fun to use. The main goal of it is to swarm the field with the deck’s boss monsters – Revived King Ha Des, Doomkaiser Dragon, Number 22: Zombiestein, Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, and Pyrotech Mech – Shiryu (its not a zombie, but sure looks like one, and I needed a monster that inflicts piercing battle damage) as quickly as possible, by not only using my monsters but my opponent’s through Zombie World changing them all to Zombie so Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon, Doomkaiser Dragon, Paladin of the Cursed Dragon, and Zombie Master can steal them from my opponent’s Graveyard. Malevolent Mech – Goku En can be used to stall since it can be Normal Summoned without tributes and has 2400 ATK; just make sure its not the only zombie on the field during the end phase or its destroyed, then you take 2400 damage.

A lot of the time, this allows me to summon two Zombie Monsters in the same turn then go right into Synchro Summoning Revived King Ha Des and Doomkaiser Dragon at once by recycling Plaguespreader Zombie with both Zombie Masters. Tristan and Belle make Xyz Summon any of the tougher Xyz Monsters easy since Belle can change up to 2 Zombies from their current level to 5, 6, 7, or 8 once per turn.

Pyramid Turtle takes away from having to Tribute Summon Red-Eyes Zombie Deck because whenever it’s destroyed in battle, you can Special Summon any Zombie-Type monster from your Main Deck with 2400 or less ATK.

The Book Cards (Life, Taiyou, Eclipse, Moon) also support this deck very well and fit the theme too. Book of Eclipse and Moon provide defense and manipulation of my opponents monsters if I don’t need to defense my Life Points (they also support Pyrotech Mech – Shiryu so there are plenty of defense position monsters for it to inflict piercing damage on). Book of Life is an obvious choice, banish an opponent’s monster, and summon back ANY Zombie from your Graveyard. Book of Taiyou is simply this deck’s own “Stop Defense” that fits the theme better.

  24. Well… I’ve decide, since that the 1st deck is focused in battle damage, put 2 copies of endless instead of 1 Bottomless TH and 1 Endless TH.

  25. Ok, i will test it. But I have the idea that it is too powerfull for a shitty character 😀 😀 😀 😀

I haven’t decide about his deck.

  26. Good point. Though when I made it, it was too fun to want to make it more balanced. Other than OTKing the opponent with Blazing Mirror Force and Black Rose Dragon + Thorn of Malice, it’s the most fun I have with my custom decks.

It’s actually the 3 copies of Call of the Haunted (anime version) that make it too powerful, now that I think about it. Even if Black Rose Dragon nukes the field twice, it can bring all of the destroyed monsters back no questions asked (like Soul Charge, but with no downsides at all). Cut that to only 1 copy, and I think the deck would actually be pretty balanced.

  27. Ok, testing your deck, is interesting that with some combos, is to easy summon from the graveyard, so i’ve make some changes.

The deck work mainly with the graveyard, and i’ve tried make the graveyard a weapon for Zombie Counterpart (Bonz main archetype):

    2x RE Zombie
1x Malevolent Mech – Goku En
3x Paladin of the Cursed Dragon
    3x Zombie Master
    3x Tristan
    3x Mezuki
    2x Isolde
    2x Pain Painter
    3x Plaguespreader Zombie

    2x Book of Life
    1x Pot of Greed
    1x Graceful Charity
    1x Premature Burial
    1x Twin Twister
1x Burial From a Different Dimension
    3x Everliving Underworld Cannon
    2x Pyramid of Wonders
    3x Zombie World

1x Trap of the Imperial Tomb
    1x Needlebug Nest
    1x Call of the Haunted

    2x Archfiend Zombie Skull
    2x Revived King Ha Des
    3x Doomkaiser Dragon
    1x Number 23
